Chievo Verona - Palermo

Posted on 6:07 AM by Lionel Messi

Palermo forward Fabrizio Miccoli is confident the club can aid their bid for Champions League football next season with a victory at Chievo Verona.

The Rosanero are currently sixth in the table, just two points behind Roma in the final qualifying spot for European club football’s most prestigious tournament.

And Miccoli sees no reason why they cannot record a third victory in four outings at the expense of Chievo on Sunday.

The striker said: “Although it won't be easy because Chievo will be desperate to return to victory, we want to continue to do well in the New Year and are confident we can.

“This month will be fundamental for us to see how far we can go.

“We must look to give continuity to our performances and also pick up some good results.”

While Palermo eased to a 3-0 victory over Sampdoria in the last Serie A outing, Chievo were beaten 2-0 at Udinese.
