Hockey's Finest - Jamie Langenbrunner
First period: Adam Burish got the Stars started when he jumped off the bench on a shift change and burst down the right wing. He whipped a shot past Nikolai Khabibulin for his seventh goal of the season at 10:38. Dallas is 23-2-1 when scoring first. Despite a 10-5 edge in faceoff wins and 15-9 edge in hits, Dallas was outshot 11-5.
Stars 1, Edmonton 0
Second period: The Stars pushed the lead to 3-0 before Edmonton scored. Brenden Morrow whacked in the rebound of a Jamie Langenbrunner shot on a power play at 2:32. Morrow then tallied his 21st goal of the season when he crashed the net and flipped in a great pass from Langenbrunner at 8:22. Edmonton scored on the power play at 17:44, as Dustin Penner knocked in a rebound of Shawn Horcoff’s shot.
